Top Shot Challenge at Camp Babcock-Hovey

When – Taking place each May, registration opens at 8 AM, Opening at 9 AM, Lunch at 12 PM, Closing at 4 PM

Who – All Scouts are encouraged to come to camp for the Top Shot Challenge.
Cub Scouts are invited to come for the day, enjoy exploring Camp Babcock-Hovey, and participate in several program opportunities.

Cub Scouts can participate in Archery. Webelos can participate in Archery and BB-Gun. Cub Scouts are just exhibition shooting, no prizes will be awarded.

Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts, Venturing Scouts, and Sea Scouts are invited for the day to either compete

in the Top Shot competition or to cheer on the competitors and enjoy the other program offerings.

Competitors must be a registered Boy Scout, Varsity Scout, Venturing Scout, or Sea Scout and at least 12 years old. Registration is limited to the first 75 participants for Competitors.
Adults are not eligible to compete, but are encouraged to help at the ranges or with the program offerings. If time permits adults that volunteer to help may be allowed to shoot a couple of rounds.

What - During the morning there will be an open shoot at all of the ranges. In the afternoon scored competition will commence. Each Competitor will get one session at each range in the afternoon for scoring. Each range with be worth a total of 100 points for a grand total of 500 points.

Why – See if you are the Top Shot in the Council Every Competitor will get a free shirt and patch. Multiple Top Shot Trophies and Prizes will be handed out in several age groups.

Cost – Includes a lunch for all paid participants
$10 per Cub Scout, Adult Volunteer, or Non-Competitor Scout (Cheering Section)
$25 per Competitor
$5 late fee if registered after May 5th or on the day of event.

Health Forms : All adults and Scouts must compete the BSA health forms parts A and B prior to attending Top Shot. You do not need to turn the form in but you must have the form with you.
