Expedition Camps at Camp Babcock-Hovey

CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE! Pick one of these unique programs and experience the best camp has to offer!

Individual CO-ED registration for youth up to 20 years old, Babcock-Hovey Expedition Camps are designed to refine your skills, challenge your limits, and develop character in the outdoors.

Aquatic Adventure Camp is perfect for anyone looking to experience over 15 watersports in one week with this extreme water-filled adventure.  Lifeguard instructors will challenge your limits and foster a space for learning and fun. Program elements include hands on instruction, personal challenges, and group competitions. The week culminates in an awesome beach party and cookout.

Shooting Sports Master Camp is for individuals looking to refine their marksmanship and take their aim at a variety of creative targets.  NRA Master Instructors will lead small squads through personalized instruction in Rifle, Shotgun, and Archery, there is an opportunity to complete the NYS Hunter Safety and Bow course and compete in a series challenges.

Sci-Tech Experiment Camp is a great way for individuals to explore the Science and Technology fields and experiment with an immense variety of cutting-edge ideas. Camp Staff and a cadre of experts will lead participants in hands-on instruction and myth-buster style experiments to get a taste of how science, technology, engineering and math applies to their everyday life.

Venturing Rangers Camp is intended for Venturing Scouts looking to work on the requirements that lead to the Venturing Ranger Award. You will join a group of Venturers and will take part in the best Camp Babcock-Hovey has to offer.  Experienced Advisors will guide participants through a build-your-own experience based on participant’s interests in shooting sports, aquatics, and science and technology areas.

Cross Country Camp is for high-school runners looking to improve your performance and knowledge with instruction from some of the best Cross Country Coaches in Upstate New York. Have full access to 283 acres of Camp Babcock-Hovey including 7 trails, countless forest paths, and access to a neighboring state wilderness refuge property. Participants will be bussed to additional runs in the Finger Lakes National Forest and enjoy presentations by a variety of speakers while getting some great summer running opportunities.

Exploring First Responder Camp is for Explorer Posts to join other Posts from across the Northeast Region in a program focused in one of three tracks: Law Enforcement for Police Posts; Firefighting for Firefighting Posts; and EMS/Medical for EMS/Medical Posts. The week will put their skills to the test an the all Explorer simulated event at the last day.

 

COST VARIES BY PROGRAM:

$400 for Expedition Programs

  • $50 DISCOUNT for Scouts already attending a 2017 Seneca Waterways Council Boy Scout Summer Camp
  • $50 DISCOUNT for Early Bird Registration Deposit by May 1st and Payment in Full by June 1st
  • Bring seven members and pay for the price of five. Must be registered in the same troop and register together.

$400 for Venture Program

  • $50 DISCOUNT for Early Bird Registration Deposit by May 1st and Payment in Full by June 1st
  • Bring seven crew members and pay for the price of five. Must be registered in the same crew and register together.

$425 for Explorer Programs

  • $50 DISCOUNT for Early Bird Registration Deposit by May 1st and Payment in Full by June 1st

$400 for Cross Country Camp

  • $25 DISCOUNT for Early Bird Registration is paid in full by May 1st. 
  • Register as a team of seven, pay for five runners and two are free.
