What are Scout Accounts?
In 2010 Seneca Waterways Council Sold 87,200 containers of popcorn for a total of
$1,400,000.
- Representing an average container price of $16.05 per container.
- There is roughly 390,000 households in the council.
- If we only sold 1 container of popcorn at each household we visited we only
visited 22% of the households in the council.
- If you figure that some houses bought more than 1 container and some
containers were sold to people outside of the council the percentage of
households that were visited is even lower.
- Trails-End research shows that 2 out of 3 people will buy popcorn if asked.
- So we should be selling 257,000 containers of popcorn for a total sale of
$4,124,850.
So yes there is lots of room for improved sales and more money for your unit. We are missing out on $2,724,850 in sales and $899,200 in funding for council
units.
