Merit Badges offered at Native American Culture - NAC
Basketry, Indian Lore, Leatherwork, Art, Sculpture, American Heritage and Space Exploration are all meritbadges offered in the NAC area.
Extra Programs
The strength and majesty of the Native American is a symbol used through out Boy Scouts. The NAC program allows Scouts to experience the customs and every day lives of the Native American people.
Water Bottle Rockets
The adventure continues. Develop your own soda bottle rocket and see how high and how far you can go. Learn the important principals of rocketry and compete against other patrols for the chance to be one of the best at camp.
Native American Outpost
This year the NAC area has a new a unique program, the NAC outpost. This area will invite Scouts to visit Native American shelters and stay the night in one. Visit this area and see just how Native American people lived day in and day out.
The Baden Powell Patrol
Scouts are encouraged to compete in the Baden Powell Patrol Challenge and the best place for supplies and material for patrol flags and totems is the NAC area. Stop in and see the NAC Director for a time that your patrol can stop in and work on these items.
Afternoon Program
Each day a patrol will be assigned to the NAC outpost area for an afternoon session. At these sessions patrols can enjoy games, Indian stories and legends, a display of artifacts (reproductions), leather crafts, woodcarving, basketry, the operation of a sweat lodge, or maybe work on requirements for other NAC activities. The NAC Staff is there to help the Scouts and Leaders enjoy their time at camp, ask about other activities that may be available for you to enjoy
