Camp Babcock Hovey - For Parents

Information For Parents and Visitors

The Seneca Waterways and Babcock-Hovey staff are proud of our camp and its programs. We welcome parents and visitors to camp.

All visitors must check in at the camp office (Penn Yan Lodge) upon arrival at camp. There they will be issued a color-coded bracelet, identifying them as a visitor. For security reasons, everyone in camp must where a colored bracelet that identifies them as a youth camper, adult unit leader, member of staff, or parent/visitor.

Meals for extra adults and visitors are now $4 for breakfast, $5 for lunch, and $6 for dinner.

Each Friday evening there is a closing campfire program where awards from the week are presented. All parents are encouraged to attend, bring along a lawn chair. Camp Staffers are also very entertaining, it's a show no one would want to miss.

After campfire a family chicken BBQ is held in the Dining Hall.  Tickets for this event should be purchased at Sunday Check-in.  The cost for adults (and children 11 and older) is $6, children 4 to 10 is $4 and under 4 no charge.
