Scouting Programs

The Scouting Experience...

is divided into a variety of programs according to age and activities . . . Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Exploring. Whether you're a youth or an adult - male or female -  there's a Scouting Program for you.

Cub Scouting

When you’re a kid, fun comes first. Final exams, driver’s ed and summer jobs will all arrive soon enough. Cub Scouts lets kids have fun while teaching them skills that will help them later on.

From the thrill of shooting an arrow to learning how to transform a block of wood into a race car, Cub Scouts is one thrill after another. With a program expertly tailored to match each age in a young boy’s life, Cub Scouts learn that even when fun isn’t easy, it’s always an adventure. In Scouting, everything has a purpose. And it shows kids that doing their best is the most fun of all.

Boy Scouts

With more than 130 Merit Badges—from Archery and Art to Welding and Wilderness Survival—Scouting is the ultimate form of learning by doing. Boy Scouts explore their interests and improve their skills while working toward Scouting’s highest rank: Eagle. By first imagining, planning then doing their own service projects, Boy Scouts learn the value of hard work, and experience the thrill of seeing it pay off.

Add in outdoor adventures, hiking and camping, and Scouting gives youth experience that will benefit them throughout their life.

Venturing

You love exploring your passions, making new friends, and discovering the world. You're always looking for an adventure. Rappelling a cliff. Perfecting your shot. Designing a robot. Kayaking into the sunset. Exploring your faith. Volunteering at an animal shelter. The choice is yours!

Venturing is an inclusive program through the Boy Scouts of America for males and females aged 14-21 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade). It's operated through Venturing Crews, units of youth and advisors that meet on set schedules and plan activities and events for youth like you!

Exploring

Exploring provides exciting activities and one-on-one mentorship for youth looking to discover their future. Exploring exists to teach important life and career skills to young people from all backgrounds through immersive career experiences and mentorship provided by community and business leaders like you.

Whether you’re a local organization looking to strengthen the community or a young person wanting to uncover the possibilities of your future, Exploring is a great place to start.
