Friends of Scouting is the annual membership fundraising campaign of the Seneca Waterways Council. Local Scouting and community volunteers who strongly believe in the value of the Scouting program make a financial investment in the future of our youth or in other words to become a Friend of Scouting.
Friends of Scouting contributions account for 8 percent of the Council's annual budget. We rely on contributions through the generosity of families, individuals, businesses and the community to help pay for Scouting’s proven character development programs, camp programs, training, service center operations, professional support, and so much more that goes into delivering the Scouting program to nearly 11,000 youth and over 4,400 trained adult volunteers.
The Cost of Providing Scouting
With year-round programming costing $192 per Scout a year, we need the support from Friends of Scouting to be able to continue to provide these services to the youth we serve.
For more information on how you can support Scouts and become a Friend of Scouting contact us at (585) 244-4210 or make a secure online pledge today.
